HOW TO UPDATE SONY XPERIA ANDROID MOBILE PHONE ?

Here is the simple steps for updating your android phone

here i am showing Xperia Z1 updating steps

Android 4.4.2 or JellyBean to Android 4.4.4

You can also Update from Jelly Bean to KitKat

(Almost all Sony Xperia device have the same procedure)

First you check your phone is already up to date or not

Check Build number from your Settings >About phone

If your build number is : 14.4.A.0.108

It is the latest software for your Xperia Z1 (July 2014)

If your Build number is : 14.3.A.0.757

You have Android 4.4.2

Now you can Follow this steps

Firstly You check what we required for updating your device

You should Have

Sony PC Companion (Latest version)
Broadband internet connection
Battery charge min 50%
5 GB storage space required for your C drive

Step 1:

Connect your device with your PC or Laptop

And Open Sony PC Companion software

There was an notification shown on the top of the window

Just click on this

Step 2:

If you are not installed support zone it will be install automatically
Now you can Click on the Update Icon

Step 3:
In this window you can see your current version and new version details
click the accept icon

Step 4:
Now you can disconnect your device from the computer
Because it take more time to download the latest software version
It take 1 hour to 2 hour depending upon the speed of your internet speed

If your device is still connected with computer
this window will come
just disconnect your device

Here is starting downloading the updating software

Here you can see the estimated time and status of downloading

Step 5:
After completing the download
Connect your device to computer
Do not Disconnect your phone while updating
and obey other recommendation they provided
After connecting your device tick the box and click the continue icon
